Proposal Requirements

A complete Special Issue proposal must include the following:

• 1. Proposed Title: A concise and descriptive title for the Special Issue.
• 2. Rationale & Scope: A 300–500 word description explaining the importance of the topic, its relevance to the journal's scope, and the expected contribution to the field.
• 3. Guest Editor(s): Full names, affiliations, ORCID iDs, and brief biographies (including Scopus h-index) of all proposed Guest Editors. At least one Guest Editor must have an international affiliation.
• 4. Potential Contributors: A list of at least 10 potential authors or research groups who may contribute, with their affiliations.
• 5. Timeline: Proposed schedule for call for papers, submission deadline, review process, and publication.
• 6. Marketing Plan: How the Guest Editors plan to promote the Special Issue to attract high-quality submissions.

Editorial Oversight & Quality Assurance

All Special Issues are subject to the same rigorous peer-review standards as regular issues. The Editor-in-Chief of Inovasi Lokal: Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dalam Pembangunan Berkelanjutan retains final decision-making authority on all manuscripts. Guest Editors must declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from reviewing manuscripts where a conflict exists. Guest Editors' own submissions to the Special Issue will be handled independently by the Editor-in-Chief.
