The names and email addresses entered in this journal site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of this journal and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party. We adhere to applicable data protection regulations and the ethical standards set by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

1. Information We Collect

  • Personal Information: When you register or submit a manuscript, we collect your name, institutional affiliation, email address, ORCID iD, and country. This information is necessary to facilitate the editorial and peer-review process.

  • Technical Information: Like most websites, our server automatically collects non-personally identifiable information such as IP addresses, browser type, operating system, and referral URLs. This data is used solely for statistical analysis, security monitoring, and improving website performance.

  • Cookies: We use session cookies to maintain your login state and preferences while navigating the Open Journal Systems (OJS) platform. We do not use third-party tracking cookies for advertising or marketing purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Editorial & Peer Review Process: Author and reviewer data is used exclusively to manage manuscript submissions, assign reviewers, communicate editorial decisions, and maintain the integrity of the double-blind peer-review process.

  • Publication & Indexing: Upon acceptance, author names, affiliations, and ORCID iDs are published as part of the article metadata. This metadata is legally shared with indexing and archiving services (e.g., Crossref, DOAJ, Google Scholar, Garuda, and LOCKSS) to ensure proper citation and long-term preservation.

  • Journal Improvement: Aggregated, anonymized data is used to analyze website traffic, track download statistics, and improve the overall user experience of the journal platform.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosure

Inovasi Lokal will never sell, rent, or lease your personal information to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. Your data may only be shared with:

  • Essential Service Providers: Our hosting provider (Tarqabin Nusantara Group) and the Public Knowledge Project (PKP) for OJS platform maintenance, under strict confidentiality agreements.
  • Indexing & Archiving Services: As required for the legitimate academic purpose of registering DOIs and ensuring global discoverability of published research.

4. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. Our website is secured with SSL (HTTPS) encryption, and access to the OJS backend is strictly limited to authorized editorial staff.

5. Your Rights and Data Retention

You have the right to access, update, or correct your personal information at any time by logging into your OJS user profile. If you wish to request the deletion of your account or data, please contact the Editorial Office. Please note that once an article is published, author names and affiliations become part of the permanent scholarly record and cannot be removed to maintain the integrity of the scientific literature.
