03   Editorial Requirements

Manuscripts should demonstrate a clear relationship between a real-world problem, an innovation or intervention, its implementation, and measurable outcomes or impact.

Priority is given to manuscripts demonstrating:

  • A clearly defined problem or societal need
  • An innovative approach, intervention, model, technology, policy, or practice
  • Appropriate implementation or methodological procedures
  • Evidence of outcomes, effectiveness, or measurable impact
  • Clear scholarly contribution and relevance to sustainable development
  • Potential for replication, scalability, or long-term sustainability where applicable

Descriptive reports of activities or programs without adequate methodological rigor, evaluation, scholarly analysis, or evidence of outcomes and impact are generally not prioritized.

04   Manuscript Preparation

Language
Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise, and academically appropriate English.
Title
The title should be concise, informative, specific, and accurately reflect the manuscript. Maximum recommended length: 18 words.
Abstract
The abstract should summarize the background or problem, objective, methods, key results or outcomes, and conclusion. Recommended length: 150–200 words.
Keywords
Provide 3–6 keywords using established academic or disciplinary terminology.

05   Manuscript Structure

Original research articles should generally follow the structure below. Other manuscript types may be adapted according to their methodological characteristics.

06   Methods and Evidence

The methods section must provide sufficient detail to allow readers to understand and, where appropriate, reproduce the study or intervention.

  • Data analysis procedures

07   Results

Results should be presented clearly and systematically and should directly address the research objectives, intervention, implementation, outcomes, or impact.

The discussion should interpret findings in relation to previous research, theory, policy, practice, and community needs.

Impact Statement

From Innovation to Measurable Change

Authors should distinguish between immediate outputs, measurable outcomes, and broader impacts. Claims of impact should be supported by appropriate evidence. Where applicable, manuscripts should also discuss replication, scalability, and long-term sustainability.

09   Conclusion, Tables, Figures and References

Conclusion
The conclusion should directly answer the research objective and summarize the principal contribution of the study. Where appropriate, authors should indicate implications for practice, policy, community development, innovation, or future research.
Tables and Figures
Tables and figures must be numbered consecutively, cited in the main text, and presented with clear titles or captions.
References
References should be relevant, current, and directly related to the manuscript. The journal uses APA 7th edition. Minimum recommended references: 15 sources.

10   Research Integrity and Ethical Requirements

Research involving human participants must comply with applicable ethical standards and institutional requirements. Ethical approval and informed consent should be reported where applicable.

Authors must protect participant privacy, confidentiality, and rights throughout the research and publication process.

Submitted manuscripts must be original and must not have been published previously or be under consideration by another journal.

Authors must avoid plagiarism, duplicate publication, fabrication, falsification, inappropriate image manipulation, and other forms of research misconduct.

Authors should disclose relevant conflicts of interest, funding sources, and other information that may influence the interpretation of the research.

11   Authorship and Contributions

All listed authors must have made a meaningful contribution to the research and manuscript. All authors must approve the final version and agree to its submission.

Changes in authorship after submission should be supported by appropriate justification and require agreement from all affected authors.

12   Submission Policy

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the journal's online submission system. Submission of a manuscript indicates that the authors have read and agreed to the journal's editorial and publication policies.

By submitting a manuscript, authors confirm that:

  • The manuscript is within the scope of the journal.
  • The manuscript is original and has not been published previously.
  • The manuscript is not simultaneously submitted to another journal.
  • All listed authors have approved the submitted version.
  • All sources, data, figures, and intellectual contributions are appropriately acknowledged.
  • Ethical requirements have been fulfilled where applicable.
  • Any relevant conflict of interest has been disclosed.
  • Funding and other relevant research support have been disclosed.

13   Originality and Exclusive Submission

Manuscripts must represent original scholarly work. Authors must not submit the same manuscript simultaneously to another journal while it is under consideration by Inovasi Lokal.

If substantial portions of the manuscript have appeared previously in another publication, authors must disclose this information to the editorial office.

14   Data Availability and Transparency

Authors are encouraged to provide a data availability statement where appropriate. Data should be made available in accordance with ethical, legal, institutional, and participant-protection requirements.

Any restrictions on data access should be clearly explained in the manuscript.

Manuscripts that meet the initial requirements may proceed to double-blind peer review.

Final publication decisions are made by the editorial team based on the quality, relevance, methodological rigor, scholarly contribution, and reviewer recommendations.
