1. Duties of Editors

• • Decision to Publish: The Editor-in-Chief and the Editorial Board are solely responsible for deciding which submitted articles are accepted for publication, based on the manuscript's originality, scientific validity, and relevance to the journal's scope, guided by the double-blind peer-review process.
• • Fairness and Impartiality: Editorial decisions are made objectively, without regard to the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy.
• • Confidentiality: The Editor-in-Chief and editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, and other editorial advisers, as appropriate.
• • Disclosure and Conflicts of Interest: Editors must not use unpublished information from a submitted manuscript for their own research without the explicit written consent of the author. Editors must recuse themselves from handling manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists.

2. Duties of Reviewers

• • Contribution to Editorial Decisions: Peer review assists the Editor-in-Chief in making editorial decisions and helps authors improve the quality of their manuscripts through constructive, objective, and timely feedback.
• • Competence and Promptness: Reviewers should only accept manuscripts within their area of expertise. If a reviewer feels unqualified or knows the review cannot be completed promptly, they must notify the Editor-in-Chief immediately.
• • Confidentiality: All manuscripts received for review must be treated as strictly confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others without the explicit permission of the Editor-in-Chief.
• • Objectivity and Conflicts of Interest: Reviews must be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is unacceptable. Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors and declare any competing interests.

3. Duties of Authors

• • Reporting Standards: Authors must present an accurate, honest, and objective account of the research performed, including relevant data and a clear discussion of its significance. The manuscript must adhere to the journal's formatting and EQUATOR Network reporting guidelines.
• • Originality and Plagiarism: Authors must ensure that the work is entirely original. Any use of others' work or words must be appropriately cited or quoted. The journal enforces a strict plagiarism policy (maximum 15% overall similarity, <2% from a single source).
• • Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Submissions: An author should not publish manuscripts describing essentially the same research in more than one journal. Submitting the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently constitutes unethical publishing behavior and is unacceptable.
• • Authorship: Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the reported study (aligning with ICMJE criteria). All contributors must be listed as authors, and all authors must approve the final version of the manuscript.
• • Fundamental Errors in Published Works: When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in their own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal Editor and cooperate to retract or correct the paper.

4. Duties of the Publisher

• • Editorial Independence: Tarqabin Nusantara Group, as the publisher, fully supports the editorial independence of Inovasi Lokal. The publisher will not interfere with the Editor-in-Chief's decisions regarding manuscript acceptance or rejection.
• • Handling Misconduct: The publisher will support the Editor-in-Chief in investigating suspected research or publication misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, data fabrication, duplicate publication) and will facilitate the issuance of corrections, expressions of concern, or retractions in accordance with COPE guidelines.

Research Ethics: Human and Animal Subjects

For research involving human subjects, authors must confirm that the study was conducted in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki and must provide a statement of approval from an institutional Ethics Committee (IRB), including the approval number. Informed consent must be obtained from all participants.

For research involving animals, authors must confirm that the study adhered to the Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals (National Research Council) or equivalent national guidelines, and must provide the relevant ethical approval documentation.

Digital Preservation: This journal utilizes the LOCKSS (Lots of Copies Keep Stuff Safe) system to ensure the long-term digital preservation and continuous accessibility of its published content.
